Today's Peru's independence days. Since it fell on a Monday, it's been a really long weekend.
July 28th and the 29th are major holidays here. Today the president addressed the country in a yearly tradition that lasts about 3 to 4 hours and tomorrow is the armed forces parade. None of this have ever been appealing to me, but i've seen them on tv before.
It's nuts to think that it's been six years since i've been in Peru for independence day.
