Today would be my late niece Emily Jean’s 8th birthday. The golf tournament that we hosted yesterday in her honour was quite a success, even with the little quirks that went along with it. Many thanks to my co-workers, friends of Emily and the families, as well as Josh and of course Kristine for participating! Apparently my brother & Emily’s mother Jen will be on the front page of the St. Catharines Standard tomorrow.
Although I do have a couple beefs…I’m sick & tired of people arguing. I am basically a peacekeeper by nature and have had to deal with two separate families (not mine) fighting within the last 2 days…at which I just walk away from until they’re done. I’m not dealing with that bullshit. Another thing that pisses me off is that I bought a used Misfits cd from Reigning Sound in Hamilton...today I look at it and it's a damn burned copy, then it won't even play in my car, like there are tracks on it but they are all blank...wtf?! I guess I'll see if it works on either the computer or a dvd player before I call them freaking out. :(
Anyone who didn’t come to Red Square last night missed an amazingly sexy burlesque show put on by Wink Burlesque. The girls were just a couple pieces of fabric or tassels short of being naked…woohoo! ;)
The end of this week is going to be pretty busy for me. On Wednesday after work, I'm donating blood (I’ve been taking iron pills so hopefully I won’t get denied like last time), Thursday I have the day off work to see OzzFest at Darien Lake (I get to see Strapping Young Lad again, just saw them last Monday too & of course they rocked as always!), then on Friday I get my ankle tattoo with Emily’s name and a bunch of little pictures of stuff that she liked
I’ve been having a lot of little premonitions recently…things that I either dream about or think about consciously, then they (or variations of them) happen. I’m not getting into any details here but it’s kind of both freaky and cool at the same time. ;)
Can’t wait to start dancing it up at Red Square on Saturdays again come August!!!
