One year ago

I was hanging out at home, thankful to my coworker Sandra for gifting me a week of PTO so I didn't have to go to work the next day. It was the last day of my 12 weeks of maternity leave and I wasn't ready to leave my little man. I wasn't ready to deal with work either. I went to bed happy I didn't have to jump back into reality the next day.

The next thing I know, I'm surrounded by EMTs in my bedroom and headed to the ER via ambulance. I had another seizure. This time, they can't blame the baby and I'm slapped with a diagnosis, seizure meds, a follow up with a neurologist and most importantly, a 6 month driving restriction. A day that changed my life and taught me some good lessons.

I am thankful to be seizure free for one year. I am on meds that may or may not be helping me remain that way but I can tell you this- I won't be going off of them to find out.
