basic principal

You know what I realized last night? I realized most people my age and under do not understand that EVERYONE, I am talking every single person you have met or will ever meet will, at some point...if you pursue a closer relationship...WILL let you down. Now this does not apply to people you don’t really know because you can project your vision of perfection on that person and be happy...it also doesn’t apply to dead people because...well...there dead. The only other person it doesn’t apply to is Jesus.

But other than that everyone you get to know will let you down at some point or another. And who’s fault is that? YOURS if you make it a habit to put people on pedestals then they will fall. Don’t believe me?

I am not afraid to say that everyone I know and am even a LITTLE close with has let me down at some point or another...(yes even Sherri and I KNOW I have let her down too) doesn’t mean its horrible thing...I still love them and respect them. I just made a big mistake in thinking once that someone other than God would never let me down.

If you believe that there is someone in your life who will never let you down then you are very naive...and I am not afraid to say I still put people on pedestals...

There is just one phrase that keeps ringing in my head “I expect more of you” or better “I hold you to a higher standard”...Who’s fault is that?

I have let everyone in my life down at least once and if I haven’t than you haven’t known me long enough :)

And I am ok with that. I do things you don’t think I do...I believe things you don’t agree with...and if that disappoints you than you need to re evaluate who you worship...

Because it sounds to me that other people are tin gods to you. People can become TOO important to you.

All I know is my life is between me and God...and I will love people no matter what because if you can’t change the fact that people let you down...then maybe you can change how you respond to that.
That’s my random thought of the day.
