I have returned bearing art and a boring story.

I'm back in College Station now from my short but quite fun/relaxing vacation, an' classes start tomorrow.

Break was awesome. All my old friends were there...you wanna go where everybody knows your name an' all that...I never realized how many of my friends are artists. My old pal Thomas that I hadn's seen in about two years and his girlfriend that he got after we left are both PHENOMENAL. He's got such a slick style, and she is able to do things with colored pencils that mere mortals such as I can only dream of. It did inspire me to get out some of my Mom's crayola (will try my prismacolors later) and try my hand, though I'm not near that level yet. It was good too, since I can color with those in my sketchbook and my Mom's computer isn't the best for digital art.

Anyway, one of the best parts was that we actually did ART TRADES!! :DDD I did a pic of Thomas' character Sëlik, and Jenny's character Mallory, while they did pics of ZANE <333 and also another character you won't know unless you've seen my sketchbook, Dogman (basically a big ol' werewolfly sort of guy with long hair that wears armor, and has no purpose other than to look cool). Omg it was so cool to see Zane in other people's style!! I about had a heart attack. It was great!

Besides that, my best buddy Celeste and I took a weekend-long departure to Fort Worth where we basically spent all our time writing and drawing and creating, which was a great return to how we used to do that -all the time- when I didn't live 500 miles away. We actually -finished- the RPG we've been working on for ages now (though I have a few pics left to do for that before we compile it, and maybe print a couple of bound & illustrated copies for ourselves). Kinda feels like the end of an era, finishing that...the first portion of it we started before 2000 if I'm not mistaken. At any rate, it was a metric ton o' fun, and I hope we can do that again soon! It's hard not having someone to write/draw with and bounce creative ideas off of all the time. :(

And also, on an unrelated topic, I got to ride HORSES!!!! Woah, that was fun. I haven't ridden a horse since I was like 9. See, Celeste's kinfolks live on a ranch outside Fort Worth (where we stayed most of the time), and they've got all sorts of animals. The younger cousin and her friend were nice enough to let us ride their horses! :D The one I rode the most was the biggest horse I ever saw in my life...I think they said 18 or 19 hands...his back end alone was as tall as I am...anyway he was white and his name was Hunk, lol. It was awesome. We went out to a barrel racing arena and made them go light speed (not really, not even as fast as they can go, but it felt really fast to me). I got some pics of my buddy and I on that horse, though I rode another one later, a mare named Misty that was smaller, not to mention easier to get on! The bumpin' made me really sore though, but it was worth it. <3 The pics aren't digital, I'll post them as soon as I get them developed...may have to bring my disposable camera to gaming/anime night and use up some film. :DDD

And now regarding art...'cause you all knew it was coming. Mom's computer's not conducive to digital art, but like I said, I did get some colored penciling in. Here's what I have for now, more coming soon:

Midas is the main BADGUY (cue the Erlking music) of CCO. He's an eccentric crime boss with a penchant for precious stones and gambling, and Zane gets mixed up with him early on, unfortunately. He's pretty maniacal, as suggested by his pretty suit and ebil goatee:

I also had a dream while I was at home that Zane was a pop idol.
=____________________=;;;;;;;; whyyyyyyyyyyy--this is so out of character:

Sorry it's only crappy colored pencils for now. I've got a digital pic of Zane's brother Style on the way. I'm doing a series of pics of all the main characters for the CCO website. It might take a while. Hopefully I'll have time in spite of summer classes.

'N THAT'S ALL I GOT TO SAY ABOUT THAT! :P
