Wildfire
A lightning strike in the Palo Duro Canyon has been burning for the last several days. The firefighters can't seem to get to it. The weird part is the smoke...from my house, you can see it pouring up into the sky, and it looks like a huge tornado. It's also got this stange yellow color to it. The sun coming through at midday is casting a sunset glow on everything, even though you can see blue sky in the other direction. Kind of strange. My aunt and uncle live on a farm out in that direction, so we're praying the fire will get under control before it spreads any more than it already has. I'll post pictures of that and my Camaro as soon as they are developed.
Looks like I'll be back home by Sunday night, after a stop off with my best buddy in Fort Worth.
And I got the best news ever today!!!!! My grades were good enough that I get to keep my scholarships!!! :DDD It was a close squeeze, but I did it. Hopefully this summer will be a chance for me to pad my GPA with easy (?) classes.
Sorry I don't have more...like I said, pictures are in the camera, and as soon as I get to a scanner I'll scan all the stuff I've been sketching nonstop since I got here. Oh yeah, and one of my old pals Thomas's current girlfriend is an artist too, and really good at it! It's such an inspiration to have another artist to bounce off of you know. I'm just chilling out here and really enjoying getting to see my friends and family.
