I ended up taking Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off of work. I ended up sending them a passive aggressive (not sure if that's the right term here) e-mail on Thursday saying that the Doctor recommended staying away from work until Monday (which is true) but I would try coming in Friday if I felt better. They ended up pre-approving me for the day off Friday =P Wednesday and Thursday were hell. I ate nothing, felt like crap, and my fever never got under 100. Friday I started to feel better and the fever started to break. By Saturday I was basically OK. The exception being my appetite, it's still not back to normal. I haven't eaten a real meal since lunch on Tuesday. I will try cooking something and eating properly tonight, we shall see how it goes.
Even though I'm feeling better I'm still home bound until the stitches come out. I can't shave properly nor put up makeup (I don't want to aggravate/infect the wound; I'd prefer as small a scar as possible there).
As a result I have been playing ridiculous amounts of Starcraft this weekend. I took to watching some pro videos and match commentary to improve my game. It's made a huge difference and I've been about 8 games over .500 for the weekend and have moved into 1st in my division (though just barely). It's amazing how 3 properly managed buildings will produce way more units then I ever could with my old style and it's 5 unit-making buildings. I really want to get into the Platinum league, that would make me proud =P I still have a lot of kinks to work out in my game though. I tend to turtle now and then counter attack when the enemy makes an ill advised attack. That's not bad per say, but I feel like I should be able to be more aggressive and make these matches a lot shorter. Also I have a good handle on my early game, but as matches carry on I know my play starts to suffer. I have trouble expanding beyond 2 bases and I've never quite sure what I should be doing.
I finally started the Sanya skirt, damn you laziness! It's amazing how something as small as having to draw a bunch of guidelines on the fabric will make me put it off for weeks =P
