Who wants to be the next Physics Idol?(cue music)

Two weeks into the session and the teacher is finally growing on me. I find him very enjoyable and, dare I say, a good teacher. But I think I will leave my final judgement until after I take the first test on monday. Suffice it to say that I know nothing. Not exactly nothing, but not enough to get a passing grade. We covered 3 chapter in only 2 short weeks, whereas last session we covered just 2 chapters. I don't know if this is good yet or not but for his tests we have 16 multiple choice questions of both theory and "simple"(his words) word problems and only two long word problems that need a lot of work. Last session we had about 5 theory multiple choice and 10 word problems of varying difficulty.

To help us practice for our test we played Physics Idol. We had three judges - Newton, Madame Curie, and Coulomb who have risen from the dead just for the occasion. lol. Okay, they were just three students. The teacher wrote questions on the board with choices for answers and had diferent students come up to answer them to the judges satisfaction. We have this random banjo-looking instrument in our room, the teacher says, "we need theme music-does anybody know the theme to deliverence? That's the only thing I know how to play on the banjo." Today was a very laughy day. We had fun, or at least I did. I am such a big dork. I feel like I am a little preteen and not the adult college student that I am supposed to be. And look! I am amused two days in a row.

And for a little update on yesterday, when we (Melissa and me)went in to hand in our written part lab report the lab teacher said, "and these are the nice people who waited for me yesterday" and she barely even looked through our reports, just signed it. (So you know, we do handwritten lab reports during class, the lab teacher is supposed to read over it, sign each page and we have to do a formal write-up at home on the computer of exactly the same thing and hand it in the next lab day) After leaving the room we just looked at each other and chuckled. Like we stayed there on purpose waiting for her! It was just this big accident that we got caught as we were leaving. She actually thought that we were the only ones who stayed to wait for her out of the entire lab group. So much amusement for one week.
