True Story

Last night, we were lounging around in the local watering hole since I decided to forsake my Japanese homework before it forced me to quit school and wait tables for the rest of my night, and I noticed 3 'punks' hanging around the door. They left snickering.

The next thing I knew, they had lit the huge garbage can in front of the bar on fire. It was massive!

We notified the bartender and he ran outside as a University of Chicago police car was driving by the blaze. He tried to flag them down and the car drove by, completely oblivious.

Eventually, a regular ran out and dumped water on the fire. 3 minutes later, a firetruck came by and one firefighter jumped out, glanced at the garbage can, shrugged, and they drove off.

Finally, a Chicago Police car showed up and veered close to the garbage. We figured that they would finally investigate this incident. The car stopped, a window opened, and then an arm tossed a coffee cup into said garbage can, and they drove off without glancing back.
