NMNL 119 ✚ Gara

Feb 19, 2009 00:49

You've all heard the news by now, I'm sure. For many of you it came as quite a surprise and, naturally enough, a disappointment. I'm equally sure of the fact, however, that it goes both ways! I figure that now is as good a time as any to let Gara know that we support him in his recovery & wish to see him back in action soon!

I'm asking anyone reading this who would like to wish Gara well to join me in the undertaking of a new fan project. Essentially, it will be like an extensive get well card!

Who? Anyone and everyone is more than welcome - and encouraged - to participate! I (mousoucarnival) will be compiling everything and ultimately sending it off to Japan.

What? A card - or perhaps even a book, depending! - with your messages, art/graphics or pretty much anything else you can think of that can be compiled & printed as part of a joint effort to cheer up and encourage.
Feel free to use your imagination, if you have any questions/concerns/comments about what you can or want to include, feel free to send me an e-mail-- nmnl.119@gmail.com.

An example of a submission could include a short message from you - in whatever language you feel most comfortable with, I can help with Japanese if you'd like! - your name/nickname, and perhaps country/location. This can be a chance to show our diversity as a fanbase as well! Get creative, but try and keep it simple, too! ETA; photos (digital) are perfectly okay, too!

Where? Here online!

When? I'll start accepting submissions right away-- feel free to comment right here! (Comments are screened for the sake of privacy.) They will close on Thursday, February 26th.
[Note: I may accept entries after that, but I'll keep you posted. I would like to send it out no later than Wednesday, March 4th if at all possible. Time is certainly of the essence here!]

Why? Motivation & support. We want him strong and ready to conquer the world again in no time. :)

How? I would like to take advantage of my unique resources working in a print shop as a graphic designer and give everyone the opportunity to create something together. The more we band together, the more effective something will be, however, not everyone has the same things available to them so I would like to offer that much. It's my job, and one I love, so I have faith in my ability to create something that will represent this colourful, international fandom in the best way.

I will gladly accept submissions as comments here (again, screened for your privacy) or via e-mail at nmnl.119@gmail.com.

Your support is greatly appreciated!!
