15. Popular foods in Ecuador are stews, corn pancakes, rice, eggs, vegetables, and seafood. Some specialities are caldo de patas (soup made from cow hooves) and cuy (whole roasted guinea pigs.) Three meals are eaten each day at about the same hours as we eat in the United States. Meals are generally very informal and practically no restaurants in Ecuador will require you to dress up.
