Trusting the process

According to Whitman the words are already exist in the universe, we just have to hear them, to tap into the power, and then somehow, in our bumbling human way, accurately put them into ink blobs on the paper. He believes it can never be accurately accomplished. I agree. But as pathetic as my rendition is, at least it’s an attempt. That should count for something, right?

Forgive me if I write in circles, my mind’s in another place. It's not often one swash-buckles their way into my carefully guarded heart and renders me speechless. It’s like old-fashioned in fast forward. And yet, somehow, I wouldn't want it any other way. I want desperately to hide behind my dashboard saints, try to reclaim a bit of composure, before I come out blinking into the public light and try to explain. It scares me, but he makes me want to be brave.

Patrick: Hey there girly... how you doin'?
Kat Stratford: Sweating like a pig actually and yourself?
Patrick: Now there's a way to get a guys attention huh?
Kat Stratford: My mission in life but obviously I struck your fancy so you see it worked... the world makes sense again.
