After bringing Ricky and Fanfan to Chinatown and Little India, I took them to the Sungei Road's infamous "Thieves Market", one of the oldest flea market in Singapore that sells antiques and recycled or used wares...
Among many interesting finds were old models of cameras that some of us had actually owned, cassette tapes, walkman players, etc...
This was on the way to our next destination, which was Kampong Glam...
There, we walked through Haji Lane, and found ourselves relaxing for a well-deserved break and drinks at Bali Lane's Blu Jaz Cafe...
Thereafter, we explored some of the shops along Arab Street, Bussorah Street, Kandahar Street etc, and eventually, reached the Sultan Mosque...
Here are the photos...

Isn't this gorgeous?

Fanfan and Ricky, as thick as thieves...
I wonder if some of the old stuff that I'd thrown away years ago would end up here someday?

And this is the address...
We tried Going Om at Haji Lane, but it was closed... did you know it used to be Pitch Black?
So we ended up at Blu Jaz Cafe's courtyard
Ah, drinks...
Cheers! Gan Bei! Proust!

Love the colourful courtyard!
Ricky got garlanded...
Erm, yah...
Then I started getting the arty vibes and took photos of random stuff like this fire hydrant
And the jewelry that was hanging on the plants around the courtyard...
We moved on to explore the shops, and this perfume shop caught our eyes, and noses...

Tada! The back alley view of Masjid Sultan

"From this angle we could take shots that looked like that postcard we just bought!"
"Mmmkay, I think I just chipped a nail..."
And so, that concluded our brief but exhausting tour around the major ethnic and historic parts of Singapore...
From Sultan Mosque, we then moved on to the Esplanade, but that's another entry, coming up next...
