thanksgiving was super low key this year since we basically celebrated over the weekend.

it was just my mom and my grandma and Mario and me.  we read the ads and played Monopoly, watched some TV and had a hamburger and fries for dinner.  it was pretty nice except for the drama that I put my last post.

my mom and I swore that we were not doing ( Read more... )

O___O N...nine hours of shopping?!? I am in total shock here XD Sounds like you got some seriously awesome bargains though (as always)! What are your board games?

Your relaxed and low-key Thanksgiving also sounds good, especially after all the stress. I hope you have some time to relax over the weekend now, and recover from the Epic Shopping Trip!

*Waves hand weakly and hides* Tom and I went to Walmart on Friday. It was sort of unintentional but Walmart was selling these kids books for $5.00 which I wanted to get for my nieces & nephews. I try to do small gifts for them that are equal so they're each getting a book, Christmas-y stuffed animal, and a little puzzle in an ornament ball. xD; The books are actually pretty quality so I'm pleased! That was the only place we went to because he hasn't planned out his Christmas shopping. Plus, there wasn't really anything else I wanted from the Black Friday ads that I had seen.

*Squish* No more long shopping hours for you! It's really sweet of you to donate to Toys for Tots though. ♥ I wouldn't expect anything different from you to be honest. :)

Aw there's no shame in going to Walmart! I've just had bad luck in the past so we usually avoid it. Good deal on the books though! And yeah I tend to try and do the same thing with kids I dont like them to ever feel like one got more ore better stuff.

Had Tom ever been out on Black Friday before? Was it crowded?

*hugs* Yeah I'm definitely going to have to rest/take it easier. It didnt hit me how bad i felt til I'd gotten home then I fell apart and got whiny (lucky mario right? lol)

Aw yeah I try to always donate something. We dont really have much extra money but with coupons and deals its always possible to donate something you know?

Man I need a christmas icon.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!

What do you mean by the trumpets old lady yelling at me about why...

That has got to be a typo. haha

I went to the movies, saw Life of Pi. It was as good as the book and visually completely awesome. Ang Lee is an amazing director. I went all the back ways though, never got on Main St to get to the theater downtown. It took me longer but I was proud I never got near a mall except the one across from my apartment because that can't be helped.

My Thanksgiving was low key too. I like it that way! :)

lol I like the old trumpets lady.

A co-worker asked me that today and I said I had the same feeling that I had at the end of the movie as I did for the book. In this case, it doesn't matter. They change like two small things in the movie and they are so small it doesn't matter at all. I really think you will like it. It's very ethereal and thought-provoking.

OMG yes! I'm sorry I didn't say anything! I do find it funny that we are carrying on a conversation on both LJ and FB. lol
