In the province where I'm from, someone created an online journaling site, just for people originally in one high school, but it grew to be larger.
It was most active probably in 2004 or so? Needless to say, it's pretty dead, but we all actually know each other in real life, so now and again someone will post an update. My last post was a year and a half ago, and before that it was 5 and half years ago! Anyway, I just updated over there, so figured I would copy and paste that over here. This is intended for an audience of friends from home.

Teaching: This is my sixth year teaching. I'm in the burnout stage of the year where I feel like we've just crossed the half-way point and I can start to see the end of the tunnel. I still love my job, but maybe not with the ferocity of last year Steph. I would like to do my Masters, but am waiting for more seniority so that my school board will pay for a big chunk of it. This year I moved to teaching the third grade. I love my team (other grade 3 teachers) the most of all my teams so far. My coworker and I are about to start teaching a half-dance (me) and half-yoga (her) class for teachers on Thursdays. I'm also going to do my yoga certification with a program for teachers in May, and school will reimburse me for it. Hurray!
band: Things are slow with both bands I'm in. Belle Armoury is still going with Libby and two new members. We have a show booked for April and will hopefully record over the summer. And maybe tour around a little? The second band I'm in is called HeroJiro. Our drummer just quit =/ so we're looking for a replacement.
♥: For the first time in a reeaaally long time, I'm single! And planning on staying single until this school year is over. I got my heart broken by Josh, and I'm still not over him, a year later. I met a great guy originally from BC but am just not in a headspace to be with someone, so we broke up a month ago. Can I stay single for 6 months?? We shall see!
It's a scary thought for me, that's for sure.
home: I'm still in the same place, and you still have a place to stay if you're every in Calgary. I started renting out my upstairs bedrooms, and currently have three tenants. It's interesting being a landlord. I'm too lenient and nice with my tenants, people tell me all the time, but I tell myself it's some small good I'm doing in the world.
Visiting: Not 100% sure but I am planning on coming home the first week or two of August. Maybe with the band? We'll see if that can happen, Libby would pay for her ticket but we'd probably have to fundraise for the other members of the band, and as you know plane tickets to Newfoundland are expensive. But that would be cool! I still love Nelson, BC and am visiting there over May long with Krista (whom you may know, my friend Krista from home who now also lives in Calgary).
