Bits
It's been a busy couple of weeks and I haven't gotten a proper night's sleep for most of them. I'm so looking forward to having the day off from work on Monday so I can sleep in, snuggle Albert, and make my house less of a disaster. Maybe even cook something. The cookbook project languisheth.
From The Great Crossert Book Sale (by proxy, as I was completely unavailable) I scored a copy of The Lord Peter Wimsey Cookbook and Feeding Nelson's Navy. I'm looking forward to having a minute or three to look them over.
Speaking of things culinary, we had a fair number of grapes this year. Most of the really good looking bunches are between the lattice and the fence, so there they stayed, unreachable. Next year, now that the arbor is in place, we can train the vines a little better, I hope. Of course, we've had no time to do anything with said grapes, but, feeling virtuous this morning, I stemmed & cleaned about a pound and stuck them in the freezer. When there's another minute or three, I'm going to make pie filling.
I'm sure there was something else.
