Oh no I've been remiss!
I've been so Hype™ for the Barbie movie that I almost completely forgot about Spiderverse 2! Fortunately, they've been replaying the first one on TV, so it reminded me. Every time I see that movie, I try to catch something new. This time, I realized that Aaron knew about their secret graffiti spot because "he did a job near there" means when he did a job with (for?) Kingpin. I love the color-zaps of the other universes coming through. I like OG Peter Parker telling Lizard that Brooklyn isn't zoned for his machine ripping a through space-time.
•"the little mermaid" my namesake movie (I was born a year before the original came out, but still): I'm conflicted. On one hand, I want to support my poc sis Hallie Bailey, but at the same time, I know it's another Disney cash grab. So if it does well, Disney will say that means people want more lame cash grabby remakes. But if the movie flops, Disney will say that means people hate movies with people of color as the lead. (And what's this about a new shitty song thrown in?)
•i went to a 2-story Target store!!! The first "floor" was a parking garage under the store. Then when you went in, there were stairs/escalators/elevators to get to the shopping level. But they also had a special escalator just to ferry shopping carts up and down the levels! And then once you got upstairs it was a normal Target. But it was so cool to see in person, because a person I follow on tumblr has this type of store layout in their neighborhood, and they showed pics of it and I thought it was cool and always had wanted to go to one.
•Love Wins: it looks like the baby fox has grown up and had their own baby. Who also now hangs out around our neighborhood.
