So in today's mail I received a pre-authorization letter for surgery which reminded me that pre-authorization did not guarantee payment of claims.
I also received a rejection letter for my life insurance request. During open enrollment at work I had asked to double my life insurance to better help Mom in the event of my untimely demise (currently unplanned). Evidently treatment for Crohn's makes me a bad risk (SIGH). Yes I am sick but NOT that sick! Chronic is NOT the same as terminal...
