Vegas pieces: Neon Boneyard

Mar 21, 2015 21:03

Our first non-work night, Jess and I went to the Neon Boneyard, where old Vegas signs go to die. OMG. It was awesome. It's a short guided tour with the signs outside. Some still work, some are just lit externally. It was really neat to hear the stories about the signs, about the history.

It probably only took about an hour, and there's not a ton to say about it without seeing the signs/pics, but man, it was really cool. I need to get the pics up on FB.

AND our tour guide was born and raised in Las Vegas. I had just been talking about how no one's ever FROM Vegas. But she IS. The mythical native Las Vegasan.
