This is a private journal. That said, I'm placing this post as a way for people to let me know that they would like to be added to my friends list. Please comment here or message me. If you have my personal email already, you can email or text message me. I should warn you that text messages might get lost in the Twitter mess that I'm still sorting out.
If I do add you to my friends list, I should mention that I have several filters, including a few public ones. If you opt to get notices in your LJ Inbox regarding new entries, you may get an occasional "You are not authorized..." message. Please don't be alarmed by this. Sometimes, I post a custom filtered entry from my cell phone. When I do, it goes in as a private entry initially, until I can edit the filtering accordingly. Likewise, my journal is set such that I cannot post an entry to the general public initially (a.k.a, in a seriously absent-minded moment). If I want to make an entry public, I have to go back and use the mass entry editing feature to change it. It's possible that, again, you might get a "rejection" notice when it is first posted.
As to why I have levels of filtering, etc., some of it is because I don't demand that you read entries on topics you might not be interested in. But, I also believe in building trust with readers over time. Just as you might not want me to know a lot personal details or struggles initially, I am entitled to the same. When I move a friend to a filter level with greater access, I will notify you, in case you want to go back and see what you missed.
Other questions I hope are answered on my profile. Note to self: Check the profile again.
[Update] Well, I wanted to be clever and place this entry at the very close to the end of the Unix Epoch, but, apparently, the time on the server really is vulnerable to the Unix Millennium Bug after all. Ooops.
