Plot Bunny!
I hope I'm doing this right.
Merlin and Morgana are twins. Gorlois(is that the right name?)'s wife couldnt have children, so they asked her maidservant, Hunith, if she would be willing to, in return Hunith would be the childs nanny. It ended up being twins but Merlin was sickly and not expected to make it so Gorlois only took Morgana and Hunith decided to go back to ealdor with Merlin. Gorlois' wife is sickly and dies whn Morgana is still small so Gorlois took her to see Hunith so she would be able to have womanly advice and such. 5 years old Merlin and Morgana meeting for the first time. They have magic they hide from everyone but each other and Hunith. Gorlois takes Morgana every few months for a week trip to ealdor to see Hunith and Merlin. When Gorlois dies Gaius takes up the responsability of taking Morgana to visit under the guise of some medical reason.
Now take the show and give it this background and slash it with Merlin/Arthur.

P.S. Morgana has an easier time controlling her nightmares/visions when Merlins sleeps near her. Arthur or someone finds out Merlin has been spending his nights in Morganas' room. Trouble ensues.
