Pierrefonds - 12 September

Another brief report on today's filming in Pierrefonds!

This includes spoilers of the casting / character and costume variety, and also some sketchy scene details.

We had a much pleasanter day in terms of the weather, so that made it easier for everyone - fans, cast and crew!

I arrived about ten again, and later heard that a number of cast had already arrived and left in plain clothes, including Katie and Richard. Later in the morning, Bradley and Tom also arrived in plain clothes, and then left again around lunchtime.

Apparently there has been a fair bit of filming in the woods, both yesterday and today, which we can't witness at all. So I can't really report on that, other than to say that if it sounds like a slow day at the Chateau, there is obviously also plenty of second unit stuff also being filmed.

A scene was filmed this morning involving the new recurring character, played by Alexander Vlahos. This included several knights or guards, with lit braziers and torches, and was based around the drawbridge and entrance to the castle. He was wearing a brown cloak, and appeared to have been travelling.

A courtyard scene was being set up just before lunch which included a stand-in for Merlin riding out of Camelot on a rather frisky horse.

The afternoon was devoted to hanging two different young women in the courtyard. These scenes were apparently being filmed for two different episodes. They had a scaffold set up likewise back in June, so I'm not sure if they're filming extra footage for the same episode as back then, or if these are more executions.

Meanwhile, Angel - in her beautiful red velvet dress with the gold embroidery - was filming inside, I assume in the main hall / Salon.

We also had glimpses of Rupert, Eoin, and Richard. So that now makes confirmed sightings of everyone except Tomiwa.
