So it was decided (for tortuously complicated reasons that I won't bore anyone with) that I should have a photo driving licence. (mine being an old one in a fetching shade of pink with no such stuffs)
Anyway, I get the form and discover that what should, IMHO, be a simple procedure isn't. Well not if you're me.
Ever since I got my licence, I've used the shorter version of my name (not the whole double barrelled x 2, bordering-on-an-essay version). My car is owned in that name; my insurance is in that name. That is the name I always used professionally and to be covered by work insurance I had to have all the above in that name.
So far so straightforward. But that is not the name on my birth certificate. Which the form stipulates they want to see to verify that I'm not a terrorist or somesuch.
So what does this mean? I have to change everything into the full name? Or? Has anyone else had this problem?
