Arthur Returns & Freya Tells Him to Kill Merlin
Hey everyone!
So, basically Arthur is back~ it's just him and Merlin (who has suffered from his thousand year stint alone). Arthur ventures back out to the lake to retrieve Excalibur, only for Freya to announce that the reason he was brought back was to restore magic to the earth.
The catch: Merlin is the host of said magic and Arthur needs to run him through with Excalibur in order to succeed.
If he doesn't, Merlin will eventually be overpowered by his own magic and go mad. It's a lose-lose situation and a very well written fic that I've been searching for for DAYS!
