Offering Beta Help!
Genre you will beta: As the tag says, basically anything. Fluff, crack, angst, non-con, dub-con, romance, character deaths, smut, porn and all the rest. You name it, I'll beta it.
Genre you won't beta: I'm not great with femslash and don't have the knowledge base crossovers.
Pairings you will beta: Arthur/Merlin, Arthur/Lancelot, Arthur/Merlin/Lancelot, Arthur/Morgana, Arthur/Gwen, Merlin/Morgana, Morgana/Uther, Gaius/Uther, Nimueh/Uther, Nimueh/Merlin, Arthur/Uther, Merlin/Uther.
Pairings you won't beta: Great Dragon/ and canon characters/OCs. Again, not great with femslash but I will give it a go if it's urgent.
Beta strength: Spelling, grammar, structure, Brit-picking, plot assistance and plot hole maintenance, idea bouncing and general hand holding/support. I also have some knowledge (and available sources) on Arthurian legend, relevant British history and Old English.
Beta weakness: I do tend to take my time sometimes, not because I forget, but because I hate to rush. If I am particularly busy myself, I may need gentle prodding from time to time.
Length of the fics you'd beta: As of right now I can no longer help with fics over 20k unless it comes in smaller doses, for example, as part of a WIP. My own work is slowing me down and it's not fair to make you wait huge amounts of time before you get your story back.
Other info: In the past I've done everything from drabbles to epics and all else in between; I love chunky, plotty fics but appreciate not everyone has the time to write them. I am always willing to help with research and information finding, whether for historical accuracy or something for an AU. I always ask what kind of work you want me to do on each fic (i.e full and thorough close reading or just a flick over for spelling errors or a plot fix). I respect the writer's right to ignore everything I say/recommend and will not take it personally if the writer decides not to take my advice.
