Apologies, Update and Fall TV Schedule
My apologies: I wish this was a fanfic post, but unfortunately, it's not. Grad school is, not totally unexpectedly, but still somehow surprisingly, time-consuming - especially since aside from learning for my classes, I'm still working on building a social network, and figuring out everyday life in the US.
Which is why I haven't been around much these past few weeks, and for that, I'm sorry. I owe fakeplasticsnow a long e-mail, and thexpuzzler a beta job (which I'll start working on right now!). Oh, and sahiya tagged me in a meme a while ago, so I owe a meme post as well. I kind of managed to keep up with my f-list, so I know what you guys have been up to, but I have hardly found the time to comment on anything, much less write fic. And I really miss you guys.
So here's the thing: I have no intentions to leave fandom, and I really hope that I'll soon find the time to be more fannish again, but at this point, I honestly don't know when that will be. I'm a lot on facebook these days though, so those of you I'm not friends with in RL yet: if you would be interested in keeping in touch on a more personal level, I'd be thrilled to become facebook friends! Just write me a quick PM, and I'll send you a link to my facebook profile page. (I never mix LJ and RL, so you don't have to worry about anyone finding out from me that you are in fandom!)
I'm also kind of freaking out about fall season premiere week, because I have no idea how to fit all the shows I want to watch into my schedule. At least I met a kindred spirit here who's also into Glee and Brothers&Sisters, so hopefully we're going to watch these shows together.
So here's my TV work plan for this fall: I'm definitely going to watch Glee, Brothers & Sisters, Castle, and Criminal Minds.
I'm behind on Merlin, so I'll try to catch up before I start watching the third season. And I've decided, with a heavy heart, to give up on Supernatural for now. The pleasure just doesn't make up for the heartbreak.
As for new shows, I'm kind of curious about Detroit 187 and No Ordinary Family - is there anything else that's worth looking into?
And what shows are you watching? Obviously, I know most of your "main" fandoms, but I'm always surprised to find out how many shows people are actually into! So tell me all about it, and let me know if there's anything I should definitely check out (except for Mad Men, which people keep telling me to watch, and I know I should, but - yeah).
