More news from the world of Kermie
I had my second ultrasound on Thursday this week. It was pretty cool. Kermie is now about 3 inches long. In the close-ups you can see his/her arms and legs clearly. You can even see the heart beating. We also got to hear it for the first time. It looked sort of like he/she was sucking his/her thumb. Twas way cool. Unfortunately the sonographer had all the personality of a wet blanket. I liked the last one better. I wonder which we'll see for the last ultrasound in February (you can collect all 4!). That's the one where we can hopefully find out the gender.
cmuckle and I had a very interesting conversation in bed this morning. I was commenting on how some of the books I read said that newborns like the sound of ocean waves and the vacuum cleaner because it reminds them of sounds in-utero. cmuckle put his ear down on my tummy and listened. He says it sounds like an aquarium. *lol* So apparently I have my own personal aquarium inside me now. :P Maybe that's why I love sushi so much!
I've started investigating cribs, diapers, strollers, car seats and themed bed gear (sheets, etc.). With so many brands to choose from, how do people ever make a decision? I'd like to start stocking up soon on diapers and such (so it doesn't hit our wallet all at once), but with so many brands, how do you know which is the best one? *sighs and shakes her head* My mom keeps suggesting I ask my sister, but she's about as forthcoming as an FBI employee. Maybe I'll ask my co-workers.
