THE SOUP GUY
This is so baffling I just have to write about it.
After work on Thursdays, I walk through the skyways to get to a bus that will take me to campus for MAS.
For the past three weeks, as I have walked into the building adjacent to mine, there has been this soup guy. And I don't even know what the hell is up with him. Here is what happens.
It is a normal skyway. There are business people walking around and heading out for the day.
I am walking too.
THEN THERE IS SOUP GUY.
He goes from walking quietly to making a direct beeline for me, making solid eye contact the whole time. He gestures to me with his to-go soup container (with saltines and a spoon on top). He loudly mumbles something unintelligible.
No one else in the skyway reacts. I am left there, stunned. Did this really happen? Did anyone else see what I just saw? WHAT?
Soup guy walks away. He is old and creepy.
Once, okay, whatever, there are crazy people. Twice? Weird. Three times? What the shit?
