State of Meri 11/21/2011
Life has been insane. So much so, I've managed to completely miss the sign-up for Yuletide. I kept thinking, I'll get to it, and then I just never did.
I've been slowly uploading my stories onto AO3. I'm up to 82 stories, and I've gotten to the point where I'm starting to load the really old stuff and I keep thinking about whether or not I should even bother. I mean, these stories are from the mid-1990s, when I first was learning how to write. On the other hand, it would be cool to have all of my stories in one place.
I'm coming to the end of my term on Fanlore and while we've accomplished a lot, it seems like there's a lot more to do. I think we need some fresh eyes on the wiki. If anyone is interested in helping out, let me or Vol Com know.
TV:
Hawaii Five-O: Okay, so I am loving this show. The Steve and Danno interaction is a total hit. Can we say married? And Chin and Kono are lovely, too. All four of them are seriously hot. This is like the only show I'm up to date on. When is the next episode? Oh, and where is the fic?
Supernatural: Well, I'm pretty far behind on this. The first couple of episodes had me asking: "Wait. What is going on?" I think I'm waiting to see what happens before I commit to watching anymore.
Castle: Cheesy, yes. But I love it anyway.
Bones: I'm still watching it, but I'm not nearly as entertained as I used to be. I still love the characters and I don't even mind Booth's girlfriend. But something is definitely missing.
The Glades: The Js introduced me to this one. And I've found it pretty entertaining. I need to find time to watch some more of it.
Writing:
So, I've actually been writing.
I got another story posted to AO3 and my website. This one: It happened One Night , is a Mentalist/NCIS crossover. Gibbs/Patrick Jane
Oddly enough, I find posting to AO3 a lot easier than dealing with LJ/DW. Not sure why that is, either.
Since I missed the 10 year anniversary of the ship, as well as the accioslash tribute. I'm hoping to have a 21,000 word Harry/Snape Courtship story done for the last night of Hanukkah as a gift for everyone. That assumes I can finish it and get it beta'd in time.
I've also got a 7,000 word Stargate SG-1 story that I'm also hoping to get posted someday soon.
And I'm almost done with the next part of the Better Days series.

Okay, so anyone who knows me, knows I'm not a fan of SGA and I can't tell you why I started to read this story. Maybe because Pirate is a great writer. But I really loved this story.
It's an AU set at Berkley. And extremely entertaining. Go and read it.
Life:
I love the fall, and it's been nice this year. After the heat of this summer, the cool weather has been great.
I keep thinking I'll get time, but I don't. I have half the year scheduled for next year, and it doesn't look like I'm going to have a lot of time for cons. I'm going to muskratjamboree, but that looks like it might be it.
