Snow raptor

Many raptors love snow. This one hates it. However, I do love Yosemite in winter. Every so often we go around Christmas as A) it's gorgeous and B) it's not like we celebrate. When we went this weekend, there was just a bit of snow happening...

There was a bit of a snowstorm this weekend. This is on the way in, at Crane Flat. The sign is the distance sign to Yosemite Valley.

Icicles on the Glacier Point road tunnel. I love how they frame the tunnel.

There was a close to whiteout storm on the Highway 120 exit on our way home. Gambit (our SUV) could have handled the road without us being mostly stuck behind the snow plow. However, it was quite helpful that they'd made that trough for us to follow!

Hiking sign at a pull off above Crane Flat. When I opened the window to take this picture, I got a ton of snow all over me!
