Dear Peter Milligan,

May the thousand fleas of a rabid camel infest your nether regions, and cause your biological functions to be rerouted.

Sincerely,

A very brassed-off Gambit fan

Mystique keeps pushing a Gambit-lite Marty Stu on Rogue because Remy's not good enough for her daughter.

Whether this is the reason or not, Gambit decides to go to Apocalypse when he attacks the mansion to become... Death.

Oh, and to become Death Apocalypse had to "reroute" some bodily functions so that he'll have to learn how to "go to the bathroom again".

*bangs Peter Milligan's head against the wall*

Wasn't there a story like that a year or two ago? Where some new character turns Gambit's head but it ends up being Mystique in disguise?

I was skimming the books even more back then than I am now, but yes. It turns out that Mystique was pretending to be a new recruit and trying to get Gambit into bed with her to show Rogue he wasn't any good for her.

Hmmmm.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Glad I haven't read this book in ages, I can still have my happy memories of Rogue & Gambit. ;)

IOW, you think Gambit's been a pussy since he actually met up with the X-men and not just hung out with Storm?

*laughs*

There's a finite number of months until you get Mike Carey, and trust me, he's better at this.

Sorry, luv, but that's not even a consolation prize. The damage is already done. This sort of thing is hard to write backwards from.

Yes, but this is just Earth A. There's Earth B, Earth C, etc.... all with different but somewhat similar histories. Finally we get this massive interaction between all of them until everything gets sorted out...

Of course that may be a different comic...
