It is the best possible use of 3 minutes and 9 seconds. No lie.

I admit, I don't get it in so much as I pretty much love/write most of the pairings and characters. I know a lot of why I don't get it is that I'm very new to the fandom and I've even avoided chiming in for that reason. I just believe that if you don't like something, don't read it/write it/graphic it.

I'm an idealist, I know.

I so totally feel I should only use Dief icons throughout all of this just so I don't offend someone.

I have my preferences, certainly, but I generally have nothing but love for all characters... and if not love, at least not disdain. I mean, Ray Kowalski is, in fact, the fictional love of my life and everyone can get in line. But it is a true fact the bashing of ANY of the dS ensemble will get my evil eye. I'm not exaggerating when I say I hate seeing RayV cast as a villain. Nothing makes me hit the back button faster, no matter how sparkling the F/K milieu around it. So, yeah. Like what you like, or don't. I'll be over here.

There's a happy medium between wank and Cult of Nice, and that's Ignoring All You Wrong People On The Internet.

Heh.

Dieeeeeeeeeeeef. *snorgles*

*hugs you* Oh, Meres. Excellent post. I want to wave this around so everyone can see it. I particularly agree about the fact that we can't wall ourselves off or divide into cliques, because we're such an incestuous fandom and, well, y'know. It's not feasible.

Anyway, thanks for weighing in on this one, hon. I wasn't sure if you would, knowing your eye-rolling ways (and I didn't think you were required to weigh in, FWIW) but I'm glad you spoke up. *hugs you again*

*smish*

I trail vaguely behind those on my flist who Boldly Went, to be certain. Also I kind of missed it. See post title. :P

And right?! And, you know, if I'm going to be bitchy I have to say: your loss. If someone doesn't want to engage with my fucking fantastic fandom because they're too much of a delicate petal, then all right then. I'll be friending all the cool people, kthx. /crank

I was sort of drafting a post as I read around, didn't like it, deleted it and slept on it and then today it still seemed like something I wanted to do, so here I am. *tada* I didn't feel required. My horse is high indeed. :P

We should all endeavor to be more like Meresy... for she is perfect. *lubs*

What is "You can call me"? Because everytime I see you make reference to it, all I can think of is Paul Simon and Chevy Chase playing the sax.
