Dear Yuletide Writer,
First of all, thank you! I have yet to be disappointed in a Yuletide fic I've received, because this ficathon seems to attract people who really care and are really passionate about giving and receiving these awesome gifts!
I am one of those dorks who is really into earnest, heartfelt narratives: I like stories about people genuinely liking each other and emotional healing, wacky adventures, feelings about places, and things like that, as...evidenced by the fandoms I picked this year! My only real stipulation is that whatever story you write has a happy ending!
You might notice a BIG THEME here is LADIES DOING THINGS AND BEING GREAT, and WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE COMIC/SHOW/MOVIE WAS OVER?
Anyway, fandoms:
Solanin
I adore Meiko, and would love to know what she gets up to after the story is over, and how she continues to rebuild her life. I'm especially interested in her relationship with music - she only played one show, but does she keep at it with the guitar? Does she realize later on she still wants to keep performing? So much of Solanin is about how it doesn't matter if you know what you want to do with your life, as long as you do something, but I really want to know what path she ultimately chooses and what kind of an awesome person she grows into. Romance is fine, but not necessary!

Hahaha, so, I loved this ridiculous musical so much, and my favorite part of all was Katherine Plumber. I would really enjoy anything in which she and her life is the focus, including her relationships with Jack and David. Their little three-person created family is so great, and I'd love Katherine and David being BFF as well as Katherine and Jack kissing each other's faces forever. If you want to get historical NYC researchy, that would be an added bonus.
Tangled
I was really charmed by the little bit of worldbuilding we saw in Tangled, Cornoa (didn't even know that was what the kingdom was called until the sign-up, thanks, Yuletide!) seems like a fully realized place even though we don't see a lot of it in the film, and I'd like a fic that expands on that. Especially after living in a tower for years, Rapunzel must be excited to do a lot of exploring, I would like to see her interacting with/enjoying her new home and its people and growing into her role as someone who is going to be in a position of more power than she probably could have ever imagined. I would also really like to see the Queen specifically make an appearance and learn more about her.
Special caveat for Tangled: I'd prefer the fic not explicitly deal with emotional abuse or the after-affects thereof.
