Joe's surgery went well. They even found a set of crutches for a 6' 6" man! True, that is as tall as the set goes, but still. :-) I told him it was a good thing he stopped at 6 1/2 feet.  Putting his shoe on him was an adventure though.  The nurse assured me they have trouble with that often.  I told her that I never had any trouble putting

I've had to break out the mean mom quite a lot lately, myself. I don't like having to do it but sometimes I just don't know what else to try.
