Spaiku.

Apr 16, 2008 19:38

I was hoping for a visit from the funny Spaiku fairy, but apparently all the downers I've been taking for my back wanted me to write these instead. Oh well. Here's handful of haiku from BtVS S7 episodes "Never Leave Me," "Bring on the Night," and "Showtime."
Pairing: Spike/Buffy.
Rating: PG.

Oh. Oh oh oh. These are so so beautiful. I've been having an angsty day and these made tears well in my eyes. I like the funny ones, but these have so much heart to them, especially two and four. I applaud you, hon. They touched me deeply. You were able to capture the depth of this emotional time for Spike brilliantly in so few words.

Thank you--that means so much to me. I felt really unsure about these, and your feedback just totally made my evening. I may have to have it bronzed. :)

P.S. I just saw your post and left a comment at your journal. *huge hugs*

Aw, thank you. I really appreciate your feedback.

Mmmm, flexeril--relaxes brains as well as muscles.

P.S. Hey, you're back! I'm glad to see/read you. :)

I have got to work out how to add sound. Anyway, hope this conveys my contentment. The Paris one cracked me up, in an angsty way. Terrific. Hope your back gets better soon. Are you seeing all the help you need? Physio? Masseur? Yoga guru? Pilates? Chiropractor? Acupuncturist? You are much too nice to suffer. We need to send your pain to Glory, where it belongs....

Oh, I'm so glad you liked them. I don't know that I've ever written purr-worthy haiku before.

The beta and I are having a spat: do you think I should add an exclamation point after Paris? I sort of want one but don't want to tamper with the thing if it works for you as is. He is indifferent.

ETA that I added the exclamation point. Please alert me if you think I've made a terrible misstep; I implicitly trust your judgment.

*sigh* If I were still doing yoga and pilates, I probably wouldn't be in this mess! Stupid desk job. But yes, I've been going to the chiropractor a couple of times a week, because I finally decided that the physical therapy was just aggravating it. I have waaay stronger muscle relaxers now and seem to be *knock wood* slowly mending. Thank you for your support and for wishing my pain on a hellgod. You're very cheering. :)

Then back to Yoga for Dummies for you. Me too. Get well.

I am divided (I am inconsistent I contain multitudes) on exclamation points (screamers). How do you hear Spike saying it. Angry, or resigned. I read resigned. No screamer. With screamer, shouting. Less Japanese.

Hee! I defer to your wisdom. *chucks screamer over shoulder* Out it goes.

Have a lovely morning/day/evening. (I've got no sense of what time it is for you. I'm provincial that way. ) :)
