(no subject)
This evening, on a whim, a friend and I went out to Coney Island. It's crazy -- still in the city but it feels like a whole different world. We walked on the beach and put our feet in the water and picked up shells. We went on the biggest ferris wheel in the world. It was a little scary because our compartment rocked back and forth (choosing one of those, rather than a non-moving one, was a move of genius or insanity, not sure which). I left feeling like I'd been somewhere -- a reassuring sensation, because I've been feeling a bit at loose ends (wandered up to Inwood Saturday, aimless; mostly sat around at home and cleaned the last couple of days).
Also, the best (albeit heaviest) graduation present ever came today. Complete Calvin and Hobbes, I think I will be spending quite a bit of my post-graduation free time with y'all.
