My first classic in the flesh :) My favorite line is the first one,
"Once on a dark winter's day, when the yellow fog hung so thick and heavy in the streets of London that the lamps were lighted and the shop windows blazed with gas as they do at night, an odd- looking little girl sat in a cab with her father and was driven rather slowly through the big thoroughfares."
Brilliant.
I still look up and wonder whether the sheep ate the flower, but the stars are always laughing...
The seagull just wants to fly because he wants to. Why's that so strange?
A fantastic book that will let any kid relate to it--not just the bookworms. It's written with so much heart and mastery.
It's not even about Rochester for me. It's about Lowood--Jane, Helen and Miss Temple.
Barrie can break my heart on a whim. The most pivotal character for me is the sensitive, cultured but thoroughly evil Captain Hook.
This one's lengthy as hell but so emotional and so brilliantly plotted anyway
This is my first and only real "favorite." These characters became family. =)
This was a fun nostalgia trip
