Today I've been working on getting all the prep work done for NaNo. I've been working on maps, filling out character sheets and random bits of information here and there. It's almost that time again! NaNo! How I've missed you! I've already started to plot out book 2 of Shades and I might be going a bit crazy. Last year was my first NaNo, so I went with a very light outline and was more of a pantster. It worked alright, but it's not so much my style. So I have decided that as long as I can get to 35k today, I should be fine to play my game. It arrived and I'm basically counting down the hours till when I get off work and can sit down and zone the rest of the world out. Pasta for dinner tonight--quick and easy. I'm ecstatic. Tata my friends!

I have a huge problem. Tomorrow an addition to one of my favorite games is going to be delivered to my door. Now this is all good and fine, and in fact I'm ecstatic about it--but it's horrible for NaNo. I've gotten "ahead" but not as far as I want to be. There are good things and bad things with November being the month of NaNo.  Ultimately, it's the month the weather goes from the hot to the cool and the air is a perfect crisp heaven. And I am def awake now. I'm moving forward with my story and I hope to be a little more than caught up tonight. I hope. I doubt I will be able to go to sleep easily to say the lease, so wish me luck! 

It is so hard to bloody turn off the internal editor. It is so hard to not go back and read what you've just written. I'm about to go insane. Last night, after I got into the hang of things, I wrote about 2k words. I sat there and fought with myself, doing my best to just move forward. And I haven't written a single word yet! The plan was to stay up till midnight yesterday and start writing a small bit before I had to sleep. That didn't turn out however; I was feeling a little off last night and didn't want to ruin the writing for tonight. Today I feel great. So added bonus there!
