On concerts.

Bon Jovi was, strangely, the greatest concert I’ve ever been to, though they are not my favorite band by any means. It was all very, very tight (in a musical sense, not gangsta). I’ve never seen the Forum so packed before, not even for Metallica. Following with a close second would be Dream Theater, who were simply amazing, and would be first, but LaBrie took too many liberties on the vocals. I’d never realized how good Bon Jovi really was. Floor seats are a godsend. Amber is very entertaining company for such a thing as well. At least I didn’t get raped and murdered. Goddamned internet strangers.

Unfortunately, I woke up quite sick, although it began to fade by the end of the night. It was somewhat disheartening, especially after being sick a mere month ago, when I haven’t been sick more than once every six months for years, but miraculously I was cured for the entire day for our show the next day at the Neptune Lounge. Quite lifting. Unfortunately once more, the doors were supposed to open at 7 P.M., yet the owners did not show up for an hour and a half, and the other two bands mysteriously dropped out, causing it to be an extremely small crowd. Not pleasing at all though playing, no matter the circumstances, is always enjoyable. You probably made the right decision if you decided to wait until one of our next shows.

March 4th. March 4th, we’ll be playing at the Downtown Lounge (in N.P.R. off of Main Street) with Tator Junktion and some other band at 8 P.M. Closer venue, playing with a more popular, very reliable band that I cannot foresee dropping out, making for a much more entertaining show. The venue is 18+, and from what I hear, enforcing it (unlike Neptune’s). I can’t be positive whether they will do so or not, though.

March 17th. Far more important of a show than March 4th, although that’s not excuse to skip the first one. March 17th I will, for the third year in a row, be playing the Battle of the Bands in Crew’s Lake Park in Shady Hills- it’s outdoors and quite a fun place to play. It begins at 6 P.M.

April 15th is the date of another show I do not know the details of, and the same goes for some other March date. Attendance of these dates is mandatory. sup g! do it
