January 22nd at the Neptunes Lounge featuring myself- OG

Last night, after suffering from two days of disease that insisted upon contending with the rest of my body (more noteably my throat, head and stomach's ability to retain for more than a few minutes what it was force fed by the rest of my digestive system), I discovered that no matter how sick I was, no matter how much medicine I could take, my downtrodden emotional state could not be relieved so far as to make me forget that common functions such as swallowing and standing up had become painful acts of rebellion against this viral tyrant. From experience, I was led to believe that no such mental cure for my diseased state existed. Last night, however, my skepticism vanished along with any notion of sickness after talking to the man himself, Victor Wooten, for just over half of an hour. Later that night, I received an e-mail from him as well, and what did he have to say!?

"Hello, the best advice that I could give would be to use the words of
my Mom, "treat life right and life will treat U right".
Try to be ready for everything, be versatile, and be a great person so
that people will enjoy being around U.
Being a successful musician has less to do with playing music than U
might think.

peace, vic

My throat is still kind of sore, though. I have serious damage to go do on a bowl of ice cream.
