Dinner is almost ready - have  1/2 turkey filet in the oven, rubbed with garlic, parsley and rosemary, and just put a mix of dijon mustard, soy sauce and honey on it. T is making rice and sauce, and I'll be doing the vegetables any minute now. Having my mom and sister w/ family over for pancakes afterward.

And it's snowing. Lots.

I made that yummy stir fried vegetable dish again. Mushroom, broccoli, sugar snaps, and zucchini. Stir fry in a hot pan for a few minutes with some oil. If you'd like it a bit more spicy, squeeze half a lime over it and add some sweet chili sauce.

Feeling a bit "off food" lately, so there are days where we don't have dinner - I just have some wholewheat cereal in the morning and maybe some left-overs as lunch, in the early afternoon. I haven't had any thing with added sugar in three weeks - no candy, nothing! And, I haven't wanted it either. The sugar cravings went away after just a day or two, and I feel a lot better!

But now, with the time of the month being what it is, I'm dying for something!

Feeling quite productive today, even though I've hardly done anything.

I accompanied my mom into town to get the last few things, from Idsøe - the only real butcher's shop in town, for family dinner on Boxing Day. Idsøe's sausages are so famous, people come from Oslo to get some. Waited in line for a good hour... Also got a paper star to hang in ( Read more... )

Feeling very effective today. Have baked a new batch of cookies and painted the kitchen!

The cookies came out ok enough, but next time I'll try margarine instead of butter, to make them not be so flat. T likes them, though.

Me, I'm making cinnamon swirls to continue to take my mind of things.

Ditching today's lecture. Had another appointment at the psych clinic, and T came with. Instead, I'm making chocolate chip cookies. Never done so before, and I think I miscalculated how much the blobs of dough would melt while cooking.
