I wish to complain about some of the scenes in last Friday’s episode of ‘EastEnders’. In this episode, which aired on 1/7/11, we saw, on two separate occasions, two characters of the opposite sex clearly naked in bed together in clearly sexual situations. I've seen a swathe of transphobia amongst some of the commenters on stories featured on the PinkNews website. Eventually, despite other people counter arguing against them - the ones who said that transpeople "hindered" the gay cause and that they should stop "hanging on" and "get their own" - I finally felt compelled to write a short reply. Way back in March, I believe it was, I saw an interesting looking programme advertised in the TV guide. It was a half-hour programmes made for the "Tonight" show, and was titled "Afraid To be Gay".
