The fact that as children grow and are exposed to LGBT folks, it becomes increasingly a thing of "No, not really" in response to the question of "would you care?" is so incredibly important to the eventual achievement of equality.

I know for certain that my children are the best thing I gave to this world.Having them and raising them is the best thing I've done (yet..I'm only 51..time to do some other epic things)Now I wait for grandchildren...

I'm jealous that you have baby cousins - there is very little chance of babies in my family, as I'm "next in line" so to speak. Unless my niece gets there first! (she's the one in the stable long-term relationship)
I look forward to the day when we meet up to take our children to Doctor Who Land, a theme park I have decided will exist, someday, somehow :P

When I was living in the big shared house with Squeak, who was 4 when he moved down from South Shields with his mum, his favourite uncle was Uncle Simon, who is gay, and it never bothered Squeak. Kids tend not to notice things like sexuality, but they do notice when you draw your eyebrows on *grin*
