About that move...

Yeahhh... I'll be posting my usual meme stuff later tonight, but a couple snags came up in the whole moving today thing that I hadn't foreseen. First of which was that the electric company isn't gonna be able to get the hookups there setup again until Friday. Now I'm not sure how the hell that works because when I met with the landlord today to finalize all the paper work, all the lights and whatnot were working just fine and dandy. So initially, I'd just figured we'd move in anyway. But then when we got in, the landlord explained to us that he thought the unit was in kind of iffy condition after the last tenant left and had been there since the morning, fixing things. Already, he'd replaced the sliding glass door into our patio/yard/tiny thing and was in the process of replacing one of the bedroom doors.

So I can certainly appreciate that he's clearly pretty good at staying on top of the whole repair deal. When I was poking around the kitchen, I wanna say that he put some new lining in the drawers, because it looked really clean in there. But as a result, we're probably not gonna move everything in 'till Friday. Which is fine, gives me more time to get stuff packed up and moved over. We've at least got our apartment, mailbox and laundry room keys. To help reduce the amount of stuff to cart over all in one day, I'm probably gonna take a few boxes of stuff over there later tonight.

So yeah, there's a little speed bump, but we're lookin' pretty good so far, I think.
