Last post from the homestead
So today's the day. I may vanish for a day or two after this because I'm moving in about 10 hours and the new place doesn't have DSL yet. I'm working as quickly as I can to rectify this post-haste. Is there a ton of shit I need to go over and do once I get settled in? Oh, you better believe it. So if you know me well enough for me to have given you my number, feel free to text me and I'll chatter a bit. Day 25-
Part of there reason I took so long on this one was just trying to fight my personal inclination to go back to the whole video game thing and bring up Hazama or Relius from BlazBlue. But this is supposed to be an anime thing and while I've strayed from that a couple times, I'm gonna try to keep to the proper subject matter here.
So here we are at day 25 with probably one of my favorite bits of scum and villainy ever to grace a page or animation cel. Meet Medusa from Soul Eater. I honestly can sum her up in the two words: Conniving Bitch. Where do I start? She uses her daughter in an inhuman experiment that consequently makes the poor girl often batshit insane; releases the Kisshin, which is tantamount to starting some world-ending-grade shit, possesses a little girl, manages to play both sets of her enemies against each other so she can get a new body and then convinces her daughter after the poor girl is starting her life over that returning to her is the only way. Oh! While also managing to threaten/coerce two different sets of witches into working for her. And that's the less detailed summary right there. (Look! Spoiler protection!)
Oh yeah and on top of that, she makes an oddly cute pairing with the resident good-guy-not-quite-sane-may-heel-face-turn-due-to-insanity Dr Stein. I can't hold the latter against her because thinking about it... sex between them would probably defy physics and the laws of reality somehow.
Day 26-
I'm gonna start this off by saying that a great many of the harem anime I've seen lately have been just utter shit. I don't consider myself old-fashioned or conservative in the least. If you're on my friends list reading this, you know I'm generally a pervert and am fairly open with what bits I tend to ogle when watching something that is supposed to be fan-service-y. And I guess that's where the problem comes in; I like the fan service as a side dish to my entree of plot and likable characters.
Panty shot because the lead girl just one-upped her rival by wasting said rival's culinary masterpiece with a well-placed energy blast? Awesome! Panty shot because the stupid ditz has no sense of coordination and just HAPPENED to land cunt-first on the lead guy's face? WTF?
So yeah, my opinion of present harem anime is pretty low. Especially with the blatant lesbian-ism. Now don't get me wrong -some of my best friends are gay or lesbian. But when it comes out of fucking left field that the lead hot girl happens to be bi or girl-friendly because some new two-dimensional whore with beach-ball-sized tits waltzes onto the set, THEN I have a problem.
Okay, this is why I shouldn't write this stuff at 4am when I've gotta be up in 2 and a half hours and move in about 12... it's just not good for me.
