"We always arrange a meticulous plan.
(To make sure nothing goes wrong.)"
-From Victor and Hugo, Bunglers in Crime (Theme music)
The original plan was to buy a screen - a new, shiny widescreen LCD so I could move the CRT downstairs. It was going to be awesome.
Along came Battlefield 2142. After getting to a point where the game wouldn't crash to desktop every 3 minutes, it's sort of playable. The graphics are at almost complete minimum, except for lighting.
So the next crazy idea was to upgrade my current AGP graphics card. It's not a good idea, so I asked Kane to talk me out of it. He did, but in the process, he's talked me into purchasing enough parts for my new computer to run. Hm. It's more money than I thought I'd spend at this point in time, but it should be doable. I might even pick up a copy of Vista while I'm at it.
Therefore I should be able to take this new thing to the next StickLAN - 3rd and 4th of Feb. Whee!
Thought for the day:
It's like a million bank accounts crying out, only to be suddenly emptied.
