It's Thanksgiving Time
A very late post this year, but holidaying nonetheless.
Relatedly, Photobucket seems intent on destroying everything, so I think all my old pics are now broken. Tragic.
Anyway! Onto the menu.
How it began
I can't begin to know it
But ever since it's growing strong
Plant in the spring
Water across the summer
Until October comes along
stalks
growing up
growing silk
growing ears
just for you
sweet corn of mine
corncobs never seemed so good
i've been inclined
to assume you're just cow food
But now i look at my plate
and it don't seem so empty
and then i'll go back for round two
and when i hurt
loosen the belt and buckle
just for dessert i need more room
ham
turkey and
casserole
pumpkin pie
but then there's you
sweet corn of mine
corncobs never seemed so good
i've buttered mine
or try elote style, you should
And for good measure, here's a very interesting turkey.
And the yams, of course.
