Okay, so I've been playing for the past two weeks, and first thing to say is that Midna really grows on you. For all that she's a cheeky brat, she's very kind and self-giving, and her back story as it develops is enjoyable.
I've gone to three dungeons so far, the fire temple, water temple, and sand dungeon.
The gorons were actually not technologically advanced as rumors spread (due to the sketched of an armored goron, who was actually a mini-boss in the fire dungeon). They're still pretty cool, and it was kinda fun wrestling with them to get past them since they start as enemies. Of course, you have to learn sumo wrestling first, which is an amusing sequence in of itself.
Nothing exciting to say about the fire or water temple though, they're pretty standard dungeons really. The missions around them were pretty fun though. Both had horseback combat missions which are pretty fun to go through. The wolf mission for the water temple was also the most fun of the three wolf mission.
Following the water temple is where the game really picks up though. First, you can now go fishing in the fishing hole, and lure fishing is -ridiculously addictive- with the wii remote. Not exactly a mission thing, but very fun side thing to do. The mini-game to get one of the lures is horrible though. I've completed the first 6 levels, but just can't get past the 7th, and I've heard there's around 8-10 of them, so ugh. Bob fishing is also fun now that I've gotten the hang of it. Kinda wish the manual or some game character explained it though, rather than figuring it out through trial and error.
The gerudo desert is also kind of annoying, since it has these creatures that are -so- ripoffs from the Tremors movies (they chase you around underground and jump at you, and they're gaping three clawed mouths, exactly like the Tremors' monsters), and they just keep coming and coming. Likewise, the Sacred Grove mission had the same concept with some puppets that keep regenerating. Very annoying.
The Sacred Grove did have the saving grace of giving Link the ability to switch between human and wolf form at once, which is neat and useful, and lets me take full advantage of all the warp spots I create whenever I beat shadow creatures.
Following the gerudo desert you have a mission to sneak past a goblin fortress though, and that was very fun, since you had to snipe at the goblins before they spotted you (or they'd call reinforcements and you'd get swarmed, though still beatable, could take off a few hearts). You also get to steal their rides, and warthogs are much cooler than Epona. For one, they can actually crash -through- wooden structures, while Epona can only jump over fences. It's also funny to see Link dangling as he tries to hold on for dear life. ^^
Following that is the sand dungeon, which has a lot of undead enemies. Not a bad dungeon overall, except for the roaches, which jump and cling onto Link, slowing you down, and you can only throw them off but not kill them. Roaches are also creepy, really.
The sand dungeon, however, WINS, for the simple fact that it introduces a new Zelda item, the Spinner. It's a very cool little device, and leads to one of the MOST FUN BATTLES I have ever had. Twilit Fossil Stallord was a pretty damn sweet boss to beat up and had a -very- nice intro sequence. Twilit Igniter Fyrus, the fire temple boss, also had a nice intro sequence, though fighting him wasn't particular wow'ing. Morpheel, the water temple boss, was just lame and easy.
Anyhow, I'm currently doing some sidequest stuff, like searching for hearts, poes, and golden buggs, and getting upgrades for my equipment. Once I'm tired of that, I guess I'll tackle the next gaming section, which is the snow mountain, and obviously, an ice dungeon.
