Zelda update

Okay, have just beat the Forest Temple, so now I have a few more things to comment on.

Wolf Link is awesome. His controls are actually pretty much like Hylian Link, with his bite/spin attacks being done same as with sword attacks. He can't use items, but he can use his senses to see spirits and hidden treasure, as well as certain enemies invisible in regular light. Not sure I like that whenever you use your senses, the screens turns mostly dark outside of the immediate area, ghosts, and nearby underground treasure.

Midna is a cheeky little brat and I just want to bite her with wolf Link. It's funny that Link himself actually wants to do that too, as he makes some attempts at it when they meet. Still, Midna soon makes herself useful, and isn't an annoyance like Navi could sometimes be. You can also ignore her easily enough when she has advice (which is signalled by a giggle from her), so not too bad.

A random note: Princess Zelda is a hottie, even within drab robes.

*cough* Anyhow, eventually managed to get turned back into Hylian Link, and then it was time for the Forest Temple and first hidden skill (which isn't exactly hidden since you get it automatically). I love that skill, which is essentially a finishing move. Whenever you manage to make an enemy stumble to the ground, you can jump from above and stab downward, pinning them to the ground. I so kept doing that with goblins. XD

Anyhow, I really liked the Forest Temple dungeon. It didn't -feel- like very long, but according to the time save, I was at the temple exploring for quite a few hours. Plenty of time to get used to the controls too, so now sword usage is almost instinctive. The gale boomerang is also pretty cool, and it's about the same controls as the slingshot, except you can target multiple targets, and in some cases actually carry things from one spot to another with it. Example, you target a bomb creature and then a boulder, so the bomb creature is picked up by the wind and slams against the boulder.

Gale boomerang also made the temple boss an utter breeze (bad pun, I know! XD). I actually found the temple mini-boss to be much more difficult. Of the three hearts, I was down to half a heart vs the mini-boss when I won, and two and a half hearts vs the boss when I won.

Anyhow, having saved the monkeys and gotten my first temple victory, it is now time to explore hyrule field!
