Goodbye, Jack
I dearly loved my father-in-law. We got along well, and I had great admiration for his intelligence, his abilities as a craftsman, and just as an all around neat human being. My husband is the third of four children, but he is the one who was there to the end. He quit his job to do this. My mother-in-law is fairly handicapped, so Dave did all the work.
I came and helped as I could, while minding things at home; and then went up the last week when it got too much for one person.
Now I am collecting, scanning, cleaning, cropping stuff to make a memorial presentation for all of us to see and take home after the service.
